Including Goucher College Prison Education Partnership Opportunity
Discover public speaking strategies for classroom teaching – and – explore a unique opportunity to teach at Goucher College.
Postdocs and graduate students are invited to this interactive seminar, where Dr. Judith Pollack will coach future UMBC-CCBC Teaching Fellows program in “Public Speaking in the Classroom.” You will get the opportunity to prepare and teach a 5-min lesson and get constructive feedback.
In addition, Amy Roza, Director of the Goucher Prison Education Partnership from Goucher College will talk about a special paid opportunity they have with their program. This is a brown bag seminar. Please bring your lunch with you.
Students who are interested in being nominated for the UMBC/CCBC $2000 Teaching Fellows program should be participating in the Blackboard Community group for PROF-it. If you are not on the list, please speak to Dr. Judith Pollack at Friday’s seminar. You can also join the group on your own by going to Blackboard, clicking “Communities”, and typing “PROF-it” into the “Organization Search” box in the left column.
You may attend the seminar regardless of your interest in the CCBC program. You do not have to be a TA to attend.
