Graduate Assistant Tuition Remission for Winter Semesters

Beginning with Winter 2012, the Graduate School will no longer process tuition remission for Graduate Assistants (GAs) during any winter term.  If departments elect to provide tuition support to students during the winter, they can use Student Business Services’ Departmental Scholarship Request Form.

To facilitate ease of student tuition support during winter terms, the Graduate School will only adjust residency (i.e., in-state or out-of-state) if it is requested by the student.  That is, a student will have the same residency in winter that he or she had in fall. 

Finally, the Graduate School would like to remind departments and students that since there is no graduate assistantship course for winter, there are no registration requirements specifically for GAs.
