Grad Students: Focus Groups for STEM M.S. Programs (4/26)

A Council of Graduate Schools project for UMBC’s students

UMBC has been asked to gather 5-7 master’s (M.S.) students from each of five areas: Biology, Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, and Psychology to participate in focus groups on national graduate school issues at the master’s level.

We’re asking that interested students choose one of the time slots below.  The groups will meet on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, in room 332 of the Commons:

11:30 am – 12:30 pm

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm

2:30 pm – 3:30 pm

These focus groups are part of a Council of Graduate Schools’ pilot study. UMBC has been chosen as one of a few schools to participate in this national study.  Here are the details on the myUMBC website:  http://my.umbc.edu/groups/promise/events/6412.  Students are asked to click “I can attend” on this site and Dr. Renetta Tull (rtull@umbc.edu) will follow-up with them.
