The December 2010 commencement exercises for graduate students will take place on Tuesday, December 21 at 10:00 a.m., in the Retriever Activities Center (RAC). The program will include remarks by President Freeman Hrabowski, III, other university greetings, the conferral of degrees, and the hooding of doctoral candidates by their mentors.
All graduates participating in the Commencement ceremony must wear the academic regalia that can only be ordered from the UMBC Bookstore Graduation Center. Candidates are prohibited from wearing a borrowed cap or gown from an alumnus/or another student.
Students who ordered their regalia before or on November 1 can pick up their regalia in the Bookstore Graduation Center on Monday, December 6, and Tuesday, December 7, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Wednesday, December 8, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Students who ordered their regalia after November 1 can pick up their regalia on Tuesday, December 7, or Wednesday, December 8.
